In 2006, Discover Network entered into a strategic alliance with JCB. The relationship enables reciprocal acceptance of JCB cards at merchant locations on the Discover Network in the U.S. and of Discover Network Cards at merchant and ATM locations on the JCB Network in Japan. In addition, cards from PULSE, one of the largest ATM/Debit networks in the U.S., will be accepted at ATM locations on the JCB Network in Japan at the option of PULSE issuers.

The JCB Card is accepted in 190 countries/territories, issued in 20 countries/territories and has more than 350 acquiring and issuing partners.

New Cards on the Network You Know

JCB transactions are treated the same as any other Discover Network transaction, in accordance with Discover Network Operating Rules and Regulations and Dispute Rules. JCB cards do not carry Discover Network Acceptance Marks, but instead will display the JCB acceptance mark.
