If you are already set up to accept credit cards, update your system to accept Discover Network Cards by calling your terminal or Point-of-Sales device provider and give them your 15-digit Discover Network Merchant number. This number should be programmed into each terminal or POS device.

If you are receiving new equipment, it should be preprogrammed to accept Discover Network Cards when it arrives.

The test below ensures that your terminal or POS device is working properly. To run a test transaction:

• Prompt your terminal or POS device for a manual sales transaction. (For assistance, refer to the instructions that came with your equipment.)
• When your terminal or POS device prompts you, enter the following test card information:
  • Test Card Number: 6011000995261850
  • Expiration: 06/08
  • Transaction Amount: $1.00 (This will not post to your account)
  • CID: 536
  • 2500 Main St.
  • Riverwoods, IL 60015
  • Note: Not all terminals are able to process a CID or require an address
• Call 1-866-522-0255 and mention promo code "WEB" to confirm that your test transaction processed correctly.
• If you experience programming problems with your terminal or POS device, please contact your terminal provider for assistance.

Place decals wherever your customers pay for goods or services. You will also want to update your advertising, Web site and Yellow Page ads to communicate that you now accept Discover Network Cards. If you would like additional free signage, order signage online or call 1-800-347-2000.
