One of the best ways to ensure you have the knowledge base to work effectively and efficiently toward PCI compliance is to attend a PCI Council-led training event. The PCI Council offers two training courses for merchants:

PCI Awareness Training

The PCI Awareness training program is a one day instructor-led course open to anyone interested in learning more about PCI, with a focus on individuals working for organizations that must meet compliance with PCI DSS or who have a vested interest in the Payment Card Industry. Organizations include but are not limited to retail, hospitality, airline, ecommerce, banking, healthcare, and service companies.

PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA) Training

The PCI Internal Security Assessor (ISA) program features an online pre-requisite course followed by two days of instructor-led training and helps security professionals improve their organization’s understanding of PCI DSS and validate and maintain ongoing compliance through:

• Enhancing the quality, reliability and consistency of internal PCI DSS self-assessments
• Supporting the consistent and proper application of PCI DSS measures and controls
• Effectively facilitating interactions with QSAs
